Jim Griggs-Senior Physiotherapist & Partner
Jim joined the CQ Physio in 2000 and has over 10 years experience as a physiotherapist. He is a partner of the group and works between the Rockhampton, Yeppoon and Emu Park practices.
After traveling around the world and then living in Spain for a year he managed the information databases for the Commercial Department of British Airports Authority at Heathrow for 2 years. Following this he spent 18 months in West Africa teaching computing at a college of Education in a remote town in north-west Nigeria. Time spent in a leprosy centre inspired him to study physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University in Glasgow, Scotland graduating in 1998 with a BSc (Hons) First Class Physiotherapy. Jim had also obtained a BSc (Hons) Third Class Geochemistry 1986 from Reading University, England. In 2000 he immigrated to Australia and started working in Rockhampton.
Jim enjoys all aspects of returning injured clients to their full potential whether that be competing at an elite sporting level or pointing the remote control. He enjoys the local triathlon club in Yeppoon for both the physical and social benefits but is still having trouble convincing himself that running is good for him.
