Jim joined CQ Physio Group in 2000 and has over 16 years of experience as a physiotherapist. He is a senior member of the group and works between the Yeppoon and Emu Park practices.
He has been given the status of clinical teacher by Griffith University in recognition of his training of physiotherapy students over the last eight years.
Jim has continually updated his skills and knowledge base every year and CQPhysio Group invites 2 specialist physiotherapists each year to provide courses in Rockhampton for all local physiotherapists. Courses he has undertaken include – the sporting shoulder, the hip and Sacroiliac joint dysfunction, the every-day ankle, acupuncture and advanced acupuncture, Real time ultrasound and core stability training.
Jim has completed all 4 Parts of the McKenzie Spinal Program of certification and also Curtin University’s Certificate in Spinal Therapy.
He is a certified Mulligan Practitioner – there are only 40 certified practitioners in Australia and only 5 in Queensland –of whom he is the only one outside of Brisbane.
Jim enjoys all aspects of returning injured clients to their full potential whether that be competing at an elite sporting level or pointing the remote control. In particular, he likes changing people’s perceptions of their body’s capabilities through the wonders of exercise. Jim is an avid triathlete and represented Australia in London in 2013, he also enjoys travelling and skiing.
